Pieter studied Dutch law at Leiden University, after which he briefly served on staff at the former Dutch Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment.
Afterwards, he was an attorney and partner at the Leiden-based law firm of Van Hartingsveldt & Roest until 1991.
Pieter has worked as a founding partner of BOS VAN DER BURG since 1991.
Pieter specialises in company law, providing listed companies and companies in the small and medium-size enterprise sector with advice and
litigating on their behalf. Pieter’s work approaches the outer limits of company law, often overlapping into labour law and intellectual property law.
A significant portion of Pieter’s practice involves mergers and acquisitions, for many of which he has served as lead counsel.
