Why AI Will Never Replace Our Amazing Marketing Team Members: A Humorous Legal Perspective
Ah, marketing! That deliciously complex art of convincing people to want what they didn’t even know they needed. Today, we’ll address a serious topic with a touch of humor: the importance of keeping our three talented marketing team members, even as the promises of artificial intelligence (AI) threaten to seduce us into doing otherwise.
1. Creativity Can't Be Programmed
Sure, AI can create texts, make ads, and even suggest campaigns or schedule a Congress. But does it have the capacity to understand our profound and eternal inability to deal with referrals?
Our, sometimes often, lack of desire to write articles, participate in working groups or attend meetings?
Or even the despair of a lawyer trying to find a specific clause in a 500-page contract?
No! Our Pragma marketing team members have that indispensable human touch. After all, trying to program a machine to understand the “emotional factor” behind decisions is like trying to teach a cat to fetch: it’s a lost cause!
2. "Unusual" Conversations/Moments are Worth Gold
Who can forget that epic moment in London when Jose began a tremendous fight with a salmon canapé, trying his best to prevent it from falling to the ground, leaving defeated?
And all the food dicussions with Jose? (BTW, if you like to cook, speak with him and you'll receive some great tips).
Or the amazing conversations I have with Pol in a dance between Portuguese, Spanish and Catalan? I must confess that I loved those monthly personal meetings with Pol... Even if it was only to tell me that I didn't write enough articles...
Speaking about Catalan, what about the arguments between Spain x Catalonia?
And the affection and attention to the smallest details from the always friendly and available Letty?
Do you really think AI will be so adorable and professional as Letty? AI would never remember to ask me how it was running in Paris Olympic Games. Nor will AI ever have a real interest, like Letty, in asking about restaurants visited.
Not to mention the simple fact that they are always available to listen to us, even if it is to remember absurd moments spent at Pragma, like the one in which I thought I had been kidnapped in Santiago de Chile... Or the most crazy conversation I have ever had when, because of noise during a bus trip in Barcelona Congress, I became convinced that a Pragma member ate dogs in Mexico, while the other colleague concluded with surprise that we refuse to eat duck in Portugal... Anyway, don't ask me, It was so confusing and humiliating.
These moments/stories are not only memorable but also create bonds with Pragma members and clients. AI can generate leads, but who can convert them into lifelong friends? Without a doubt, Letty, Pol and Jose!
3. Context is Key
AI can analyze data in milliseconds, but can it read between the lines? When a member says, “I need something more...”, what does that really mean? Maybe they need a coffee, a joke, or perhaps just someone who will listen. Our Pragma marketing team members have the ability to interpret those signals and respond appropriately. And would you really want to receive a genuinely heartfelt marketing proposal from a robot at 2 AM? No, thank you.
4. "Education and Entertainment": Our Slogan
Who said legal marketing can’t be fun? Our Pragma marketing team members have the incredible ability to turn complicated legal content into something everyone can understand while laughing. And while AI can create infographics, we still need our team to add that human touch – and a bit of humor – to make everything more palatable. After all, who can resist a good legal pun?
5. More Random Innovations than AI
Our Pragma marketing team members are like those Chefs (or Jose) who, instead of following a recipe, throw random ingredients into the pot and create a culinary masterpiece! Can you imagine what an AI proposes? The image of the “Creativity Machine” might only mean a soup of words instead of a campaign that truly resonates! Let's leave randomness and innovation to humans…
Conclusion: Keep the Marketing Team Onboard!
While AI has its advantages, nothing compares to the warmth, creativity, and humor that our three brilliant Pragma marketing team members bring to the table. They’re here not just to take care of Pragma, but to build relationships, tell stories, and immortalize the human-legal connection that we so value.
So, before saying goodbye to our marketing team members in favor of an automated system, let’s remember that we’re dealing with human beings, and that, my dear friends, is magical!
Thank you Letty, Pol and Jose. Without you we wouldn't have the fantastic group we have.
