Manubens Abogados Attended the Winter Networking Dinner Organized by CataloniaBio & HealthTech on March 8, 2018
CataloniaBio & HealthTech, is a new organization created in December 2017 as a result of the integration of CataloniaBio and HealthTech Cluster. It is an association of companies in the field of biomedicine and health in Catalonia whose mission is to promote research, development and innovation (R&D&I) for the business sector to create new biopharmaceutical, medical technology and digital health products and services aimed at improving human welfare.
This association currently has among its members more than 150 companies and collaborating agents, such as hospitals, research centers and leading universities in R&D&I in biomedicine. The companies that are part of this association ranges from micro-enterprises to SMEs and large corporations that develop products (medicines, medical devices, diagnostic tests, etc.), scientific and non- scientific services, as well as generators of knowledge.
Manubens Abogados is a member of this Association since they both have a number of common interests concerning their activities and purposes. Actually the Biotechnology sector is one of the main areas of expertise of Manubens Abogados.
Among the activities promoted by CataloniaBio & HealthTech stands out the winter networking dinner held on March 8 this year at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona and attended by Manubens Abogados. It is an annual meeting of the partners of the Association held with the aim of sharing knowledge and promoting business and scientific relationships and cooperation. The event was attended by the president of CataloniaBio & HealthTech, Mr. Jaume Amat; the CEO of ACCIÓ, Mr. Joan Romero; the General Director of Research and Innovation in Health, Mr. Albert Barberà, and more than 200 entrepreneurs, executives and investors of the sector.
During the dinner, Anaconda Biomed and Mind the Byte were awarded the Bioéxito 2018 prize to the most important business milestones in the field of biomedicine and health in Catalonia. The new board of the association was also officially presented.
