About

Amanda Brown is a partner at WR Immigration. She provides expert legal guidance in business immigration matters to multinational corporations in industries including finance and insurance. Her practice involves a full scope of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant processes.

Prior to joining the firm, Amanda completed a fellowship at a non-profit organization in Portland, Maine where she researched and analyzed criminal statutes as applicable to immigration law and assisted with family-based immigration cases.  She has extensive experience with federal and state government agencies from her work at the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Maine Department of Labor, and Maine Department of Health and Human Services. 

Amanda received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where she served as a teaching assistant for a statutory immigration law course, and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Joseph Spero of the U.S. District Court in San Francisco. She is also a graduate of The George Washington University with an M.A. in International Development Studies, and of Bowdoin College with a B.A. in English and Spanish.  Amanda is admitted to practice law in Maine and Massachusetts and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA).

Amanda enjoys traveling and studied in Spain, Mexico and Tanzania during her undergraduate and graduate programs.
