Graduated in law at the School of Law and Social Sciences, Universidad Católica Argentina, Buenos Aires, 1969 and Member of Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federa (Federal Capital Bar Association).
He held the position of inspector of the Inspección General de Justicia de la Nación (Superintendency of Corporations) 1971-1972.
He is founding partner of del Carril, Colombres, Vayo & Zavalía Lagos, Law Firm.
Mr. Zavalía is certified mediator by the Asociación Iberoamericana para la Resolución Alternativa de Disputas (Iberoamerican Association for Alternative Dispute Resolution). He is included in the list of arbitrators of the Centro Empresarial de Mediación (Mediation and Arbitration Business Center) (CEMA)
