The APEC Business Travel Virtual Card (ABTVC) is an instrument designed to facilitate the travel of business people in the Asia-Pacific region, thus promoting trade and investment.
Benefits of the ABTVC
- Visa-free entry: Allows entry to participating economies for business purposes without the need for an additional visa or authorization.
- Preferential treatment at airports: Holders have access to exclusive lines and expedited immigration procedures at major airports in participating countries.
- Working spouses and adult children may apply.
Validity and Conditions of Use
- The ABTVC is valid for the same period as the holder's passport, with a maximum of five years from its issuance date.
- It must be presented along with a valid passport.
- Each entry has a maximum stay of 90 days.

Important: The United States and Canada do not approve ABTVC applications, but they do allow the use of priority immigration lines for cardholders approved by Australia.
Requirements to Obtain an ABTVC
- Be Chilean and hold a valid passport (ordinary or official).
- Not have been prosecuted or convicted of crimes classified as felonies or simple offenses.
- Be a business person or government official linked to APEC.
- Have no negative business record.
Definition of a business person: Those who participate in the trade of goods, provision of services, investments, or productive economic activities and require frequent travel within the Asia-Pacific region are considered business persons.
Required Documentation
- Completed ABTC application form.
- Color passport-sized photograph (4x4 cm).
- Photocopy of a valid passport.
- Criminal record certificate for special purposes (Civil Registry).
- Certificate from a business association certifying business status or, in the case of government officials, a certificate issued by APEC-DIRECOM (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
- Proof of payment for the ABTVC (Spanish Business Visa) card.
Provisional Approval
